Alexis Avedisian is the Associate Director of Events and Marketing at The Data Science Institute. She works with DSI’s faculty, students and Industry Affiliates to program and market more than 60 annual seminars, workshops, and technical demonstrations. She also leads events-related digital outreach, such as registration, online event platforms, and DSI’s weekly events newsletter, to capture, track and grow participation across Columbia.
Previously, Alexis has held communications positions at NYC Media Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and MIT. She received an M.A. in Arts Administration from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development in 2016.
