Christine Hendon is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia Engineering. Her research focuses on developing high-resolution optical imaging and spectroscopy instruments in conjunction with real-time image analysis for diagnosis and therapy monitoring of diseases of the heart. Fleming received her B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT in 2004, and her M.S. and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2007 and 2010, respectively. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2012 before joining Columbia.
